It seems this time of year I find myself with these two for a short time until the northern birds come for the winter. I hadn't posted for a bit so I took some time and snapped a couple.

I seem to have a huge Blue Jay population of which I am very happy, there hard on the peanuts but I can not imagine not hearing there calls out in the yard for me to fill the feeder at 6:00am

yes- I feel the same way about blue jays- would miss them if they quit coming by. on the other hand I could use a few less doves

They are great flashes of blue every morning Bob and I have no doves at all now

Yep, the Black-capped chickadee and Bluejay are among my favorite birds as well for the simple reason that they are here through the harsh winter with me and not flying off for warmer climates.
