Good deal. The IS version sells about 3400 and I usually see the NON is version go for 2200-2400

If I was able to find one at that price I'd jump on it.

^^This^^

Pretty much the exact going rate for a clean copy. It's still a great lens. If you get a nice copy, you won't be disappointed.

Good deal indeed. This is the lens I really want to have. IS or non IS. For my kids sports activities.

that's a good deal with the case and it sounds like he's got a few lens caps with it. i picked one up from ebay for 1.8k but no case, no lens caps, rear only, and there was a screw missing from the hood thumb thing, i was able to repair with a trip to a local hobby shop but it did require some work on it. it doesn't look as clean as this one either.

For that price - I could fly up to Toronto, buy it, fly home, and still come out ahead.

Could be too good to be true......

I asked about it and the seller said he/she is in Vancouver, then suggested we go through eBay for protection and linked me to a profile on eBay with 3000+ reviews. But it was a clothing sales profile. I think I'll skip this one. :-)
