Sep 22, 2014 00:41 | #3 For which shot? I'm constantly moving all over the arena when shooting volleyball. It's a pretty large arena with an upper level so plenty of nice angles to shoot from. I spend the least amount of time shooting on ground level. Andrew

Sep 25, 2014 13:51 | #6 Thanks! And yes, the lighting is great. They updated the lighting this spring to what I believe are LED sources. Much more even light and consistent color and gained about half a stop or so with nice fall-off. Andrew

Sep 25, 2014 17:07 | #8 Thanks. And yeah, flickr strips exif for some reason. Most of these were shot at ISO5000, 1/2000th, f/2.8 with a 400/2.8 and 1DX. The last one was shot with a 200-400mm at ISO6400, 1/1600th, f/4. I could have dropped the ISO & shutter some, but I like freezing the ball when I can. Andrew

Sep 25, 2014 22:26 | #11 I just kept them in a case at the media table and changed lenses when I felt like it. I don't bother carrying a second body for volleyball... there's no real need to, plus it just gets in the way. I just pick a lens and find a comfortable seat in the stands and shoot for a bit, move, and repeat. I will go back down to floor level for part of one set to get celebration shots and/or digs and diving plays. Andrew
