Very likely that it was 2012, although we did have one in 2004. We won't have another until 2117. Mine was a bit later, and Pacman-esque.

June 5th, 2012. It was cloudy all day and I was really depressed about it. I went to the store for groceries about 7:00PM, when I came out the clouds had broken up. I rushed home, grabbed the camera and lucked out. Apparently the photo is no longer on my computer, good thing I saved it to photobucket.

Andicus, yours is a whole lot prettier. I love the clouds and the reflection.

Here's the same image, color corrected and cropped:

Thanks, Terry. Just luck of the draw, really.

I checked the EXIF info and mine was from around 8:45.

Celestron, that's an amazing shot!

I thought I had one with sunspots, too, but I can't find it. I really need to be more organized.

I was pretty happy with the results, but in hindsight I wish I had done a timelapse as the sun was setting, as the clouds were pretty cool. I also missed the chance to silhouette a flag flying on top of a bridge, which would have been a pretty cool shot.

I used my 70-200mm f/4L and a home-made Baader filter for this:

I don't feel bad, but you gotta admit there are some pretty good photos in this thread.

I freely admit I'm the World's Worst Cowboy Action Shooter, and have the scores to prove it. :) But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy CAS any less. And seeing someone else's photos that are better than mine doesn't make me enjoy photography any less.
