Lens or Camera

What would you purchase next? A Canon 6D (I currently have a Canon Rebel t2i) or Sigma 50mm Art. I can't buy them both now. I mainly shoot my family portraits.

With your current lenses I would go FF with a nice 6D. The 35 and 85 will be great on a 6D. And I think you don't need three primes which are all close together. I do have a 35 and 85 and I don't have a big need for a 50mm.

A 50mm on your current body will have a similar focal length "feel" as the 85mm on a FF body. Normally I'd recommend glass over a body, but if you got the 6D, between the 2 bodies you'd have an effective FL of 35, 56, 85, & 136. They might not be as nice as say the Sigma 50, but you have 4 focal lengths vs just 2.

The main argument I'd say in favor of the 50mm is it's a great lens, and later if you upgrade to another body, you'll have the 3 lenses to use. It's a tough call.

Yah, the 6D. But keep in mind the new 55-250 STM ... it's cheap, and will open a new area for you.

Sell everything but the 35IS. Get the 6D and 100L/135L.

The 35 F2 IS is very sharp, so you're good with glass at that focal length.
The 85 is pretty good for portrait too.

Getting a new camera will benefit both of these lenses.
Getting a 50 ART will just give you another perspective, when using it.

I'd get the 6D in this case.

(Or get a 5D classic and the 50 ART )

definitely go for the 6d classic before 6d mark 2 comes out.

6D, wait for a rebate as it is almost all 2 weeks a few hundreds off..

6D....Especially seeing you say you shoot portraits.

Definitely 6D

6D for sure. it will be a HUGE improvement from your current body. IMO, this body upgrade would benefit your portraits more than the glass would.
