Middle School Football - 60D or 6D

Going to take pictures at my son's game tomorrow night. Kick-off is not until 8:15 so post sunset here in TX. I'll be using a 70-200 2.8. My thinking is the higher ISO capability outweighs the reach and modest FPS gain of the 60D. What would y'all do?

From having actually used the combination of a 60D and a 70-200mm f/2.8, I've learned at real football games that the lens and camera body work together well.

"Reach" is determined by the lens more than the camera. The best balance of reach and light gathering ability for night sports is offered by the Canon 400mm f/2.8 IS lens, which is a great unit for those with US $11,000 to spare.

Given that I'm not running out and spending $11,000 on a lense this week, are you recommending using the 60D / 70-200 combo?

Also, what ISO were the pictures posted taken at and how much PP did you do? Did you use any flash?

Always available light. Flash attracts the wrong attention from officials and coaches.
