Shot 4 CFB games so far but all of them have been either noon games or 3:30pm. Shooting my first 7:30pm kickoff game next Saturday and interested in getting some tips from the experts in the field.
I am probably overthinking this because I see a lot of complaints of shooting HS football on Friday nights and I know college stadiums have better lighting so maybe it won't be as bad but I still want to be mentally prepared.
Canon is sending me the 400mm 2.8 IS II to evaluate, this will also be the first time I'll be shooting with a super telephoto. Shooting with a 5dm3 (yes, I know it's not a sports body) which have been fine for all the games I've shot so far.
During the day games, I typically shoot in aperture priority mode because of the change in lighting conditions and also shoot +2/3 EC. For the night game, I'm planning to shoot in manual but if anyone has any general tips for getting good exposure at night games, that is what I'm interested in reading.
Thanks in advance!
