Knee Pads?

I was able to shoot a college game this past weekend and the shots came out good, but definitely could have been better had I been on my knees rather than standing. Much like car shots, getting down gives you a much better shot.

I have semi-bad knees, so I definitely need some good gel pads. Can anyone recommend some that they use? I know DEWALT has some good rated ones, but I would feel weird walking around with two bright yellow pads that say DEWALT on them.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I use these http://www.harborfreig​ht.com …-gel-knee-pads-66124.html from Harbor Freight that work well. If you have some loose fitting pants, at least loose in the leg, they can be worn under the pants. They have 2 or 3 styles with various prices.

Awesome we have a store near by. Pretty good price too.

I agree. If you get those kind that are use by carpenters, they will not be real comfortable. Ironically, I ended up using my daughters old bike knee pads and left the others for tile work.

So if you use knee pads that's great! But how do you get up and down? I have more of a problem getting up and down that I do being on my knees.

Bring a (sturdy) monopod?

I never use kneepads, but get carpenter's gel kneepads if you want some.

I played catcher in HS. My knees have more wear than your average mid-30s shooter. I also will sit on the sidelines more than I kneel, which helps a lot.

I bring a foldable camper's stool to sit on.
