Combining fashion and technology with creativity and style, the limited edition Linda camera bag has been especially designed by Stella McCartney for the Canon EOS 100D White.

The box shaped bag in a colour combination of matte neutral tones and metallic finish has been custom designed to house the Canon EOS 100D White, the world’s smallest DSLR. The chic EOS 100D is the perfect camera for those looking to explore the world of photography, whatever their skill level.

Functional without compromising on style and true to Stella McCartney’s vegetarian philosophy, the bag is completely cruelty free, crafted with an innovative Eco Alter Nappa leather alternative which uses natural vegetable oil coating that is less harmful to the environment.

I saw this story and a picture of the bag on one of the photo news aggregation sites. I have to say that I'm astonished that Canon have decided to take such a patronising approach in marketing to women. I mean come on Canon, is that what you think female photographers need? A white camera that looks like it's designed to appeal to an infant and a matching handbag, or do they just need good quality photographic equipment exactly the same as us men. It seems to have the same sexual politics as my grandfather's generation and it's more than pathetic, it's offensive.

Kit list: Canon 5D mkIV & 6D mkII, EF 24-70L F4 IS, EF 70-200 F4 is, EF 50 f1.8 STM, Sigma 24-105 Art & Sigma 150-600 C

What was I saying last time about the Hello Kitty edition? This isn't too far off...

Canon's turning into Hasselblad - living off reputation and past successes.
