I was just horsing around with my 40mm pancake and extension tubes on my 6D this morning.

I had no idea they would come out looking like this. Talk about gross. And I use Q-tips every single day after taking my morning shower.

Might make you think twice before using someone else's earbuds. After this pic I cleaned them, and the right side isn't working properly now (notice that the right side is the yuckiest). So, I'll be getting a new pair today, needless to say.

In fact, I believe I'm going to gently clean my ears before each use on the next pair.

ewwwwwwww!!!! that's all :D

That said, it reminds me of the time I took a macro shot of one of the front USB sockets on one of our workstations in work. It was VILE inside. I sent the photo off to facilities and recommended all the machines be given a proper cleaning.. not sure it ever happened though :(

I would never use someone else's earbuds? (In England that's what we clean ears with lol) or head phones for that matter...!

Should never use cue tips in your ears. They just push matter further in and if you get the judgement wrong... damaged ear drum.

I guess you're right. I decided to forgo new earbuds and will purchase a set of small quality over the ear headphones.

Gross is right. I have to wear hearing-aids, so am very familiar with this.
