Vintage Wings Canada welcomes VeRA

Last night I learned VeRA would be landing at the Gatineau Executive Airport, which is also where Vintage Wings is located. A quick check of their web site said it was scheduled to arrive at about 1:00 PM so I headed over early but unfortunately it was over 3 hours late & the light wasn't what I had hoped for relative to a 1:00 PM arrival. We only got 1 pass from VeRA but to entertain us while we waited the P 51 & P 40 went up & did a couple of low passes. They went back up later to greet VeRA & accompany it for a pass that likely went by Parliament Hill.

It's scheduled to fly home to Hamilton tomorrow ending it very historic journey to Britain & back.

Glad you were able to get out there to shoot it Larry. Was out of town, so I couldn't make it.

That would explain it. I had expected to see you there along with someone else who missed it. I really wish they'd done 1 nice low pass down the runway before landing but then again I wasn't expecting to see it at all on it's trip. I was scheduled to be at the last R/C event of the season but this totally outranked that.
