Maybe I'll start doing darks to minimise noise If you haven't been adding darks then you definitely need to start . You should have one dark for every 5 or more shots . And remember the darks from one nights shooting are night good for every time you need a dark . Those darks need to be during the same shooting as the image your adding them to . But yes they definitely will help out on the noise for sure .

Yes it will help but darks help cover bad pixels that are in each shot . That's those little red & blue specs you see all over an image at times .
