I encourage... perhaps I should say, I don't discourage Hoverflies landing on my fingers. But I haven't had a Housefly that interested in landing on me.
I was bitten by a Horsefly the other day and it was so painful I forgot my primary mission entirely and used my MP-E as a mallet!
