I do wedding videography. Sometimes I had used canon hf300 camcorders for my B-roll (wide) coverage. However, the quality just sucks in low light. My samsung galaxy s4 records much better video.

I wonder if there is any camera provides better quality or even better quality than galaxy s4.... Also it is suppose to record 30 minutes without break...

Do you guys suggest any? except gopro? I had it before but it is too wide;;;

For $311 you can get an EOS M with the 22mm f/2 lens (external link). With an APS-C sensor, it is great in low light. You can also attach microphones to it if needed. Much better video than my Galaxy S5 (except for the 4K option).

I second the EOS M suggestion.

I would also suggest the EOS M as an inexpensive option. But also you could look into a used or refurbished T3i body that you could pair up with a lens you don't use during your shoots and have a great body for recording video as it has a little longer battery life while recording video over the M.

I would recommend the M as well, great sensor on par with the 7D/60D/T4i. Great battery life when you use aftermarket units.

Has STM video autofocus, which I personally don't care for, but a ton of people kiss Canon's butt over it.

#1 advantage it has over a DSLR is that it's a mirrorless, so you can use Canon FD fantastic glass that you can't use on DSLRs. As well as minolta, Leica M,L and R mount, C-mount lenses as well.

Any recommendations for a UWA lens that takes filters for the EOS-M? Hoping to stay under $350.

I have the bower/samyang/rokinon 14mm 2.8 but this doesn't take filters.

Yes Canon makes a EF to EF-M adaptor, it retains AF and IS and everything else.

An authentic Canon EF-to-EFM adapter is being sold on ebay for US$63. I bought it and it works great.

There is the native 11-22mm EF-M that you can buy from a Canadian retailer for CAD$400 with a 55mm thread. If you have the adapter, you can buy the 10-18mm EF-S lens for US$300. There is also a Rokinon 12mm f/2 with EF-M mount that looks interesting. It has a 67mm filter thread and is manual focus.

If you shop around some retailers will throw in the adapter for free, I think it was on ebay where I saw that.

I know some people don't like to buy from there but I got my M on ebay and when my 22mm acted up and I had to use the warranty there was no issue with Canon honoring it.

Thanks for the inputs!
I currently use t3i and my phone for b rolls. However, the t3i does have problems with automatic shut off once it gets over heating.

Also the main problem is it only records upto only 12 minutes at maximum. (I use class 10 transcend 300x card as well.) Since I do wedding and once I press start recording I need minimum 30 minutes without worries....

Magic Lantern! The T3i build is super stable, and record restart alone makes it worth installing. You could also drop the bitrate to 0.8x and get about 15 minute clips instead of 12.
