First time outdoor portraits (senor)

I volunteered to help a local organization to take a few pictures for their seniors. I took these today at 1PM so lighting was rough for me. Here are from the first senior. I'll be editing the second senior's pics tomorrow. But, it will be similar in location / pose.

Any critiques on editing or pose, etc? My screen isn't calibrated, but I think I did ok with the tones.

It's unfortunate that his shirt doesn't fit well and it's so wrinkled. Kind of ruins some otherwise decent pictures.

Yeah. Unfortunately, I guess they didn't think about that prior to the shoot.

Your color balance and exposure are all over the place. The first shot looks great. The rest look underexposed and yellowish/magenta-ish.

Overall your backgrounds are too bright. Try for an overcast day instead of being out in full sunlight or go to a place that blocks out all bright sunlight.

I was not really able to make those decisions here. I would have made it for later in the day like I said in my first post.

But you did make the decision to pose him where his fscd was in shadow and the bsckground is too bright.

Versus finding open shade where its not a factor, versus using a reflector for fill to brighten the face, versus using fill flash. The limiting factor here is your skill and imagination. Yes its easier in good light, but you can't simply surrender because the day is bright.

I think 1 & 3 are your best from this set.
