Hi,
I'm hoping you clever people can please help me ID these two. I'm in Australia if that helps to know at all. Also does anyone know of some good websites so that I can attempt to ID different insects for myself in the future?
Thanks for your help :)

Lovely captures
#1 is a speckled eye drone fly- a type of hoverfly- probably Eristalinus species.
#2 is a jumping spider

I've used this site a few times trying to ID Ossie bugs

Thanks Brian, really appreciate it. I had not seen the fly before and haven't seen them again for a couple of weeks now, we are just coming into spring here. I knew the spider was a jumping spider, just didn't know what name it's known as. Thanks a bunch for the link.

Great shots. I have done a lot of Aus macro shooting, not so much recently, have never seen a drone fly like that.
