I currently have the following shooting on a crop body

Canon 15-85 EFS
Sigma 30 1.4 DC
Canon 18-55 EFS
Canon 55-250 EFS

I am looking to add and upgrade a few pieces and am looking at the following

Canon 10-18
Canon 85 1.8
Canon 100mm 2.8 macro
Tamron 150-600

I would probably sell the 18-55 and 55-250. Is there any other sigma or Tamron alternatives I should be looking at. Shoot a lot of portraits in and out of studio, landscapes and wildlife. Shooting a friends wedding in August and am tossing around the idea of getting into weddings more.

I'd definitely add Canon 10-18 and Canon 85 1.8 - works well for some of your stated subjects (portraits and landscape). A noticeable upgrade to 55-250 would be 70-200 f4 (doesn't have to be IS). Then you could get rid of 18-55. I am less familiar with wildlife lenses, but it looks like Tamron 150-600 should fill the bill.

6D (normal), 6D (full spectrum), Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC, 135L, 70-200 f4L, 50mm f1.8 STM, Samyang 8mm fisheye, home studio, Fast Stacker

I was eyeing the 70-200 f4 non IS, I would probably pick it up after selling the 18-55 and 55-250, those wont cover the entire purchase but will make it a bit less money.

The 60 macro natively has deeper DOF, if that matters to you, and costs a lot less. It also doubles as a nice portrait lens on crop cameras. It also fits nicely between your 30 1.4 and 85 1.8 (or 100 2).

you might even skip the 85 1.8 if you're going to pick up a 100 macro. IMO, that can double as a portrait lens. I would try that as a portrait solution before acquiring an 85 since they're so close in FL.

might as well get rid of the 18-55 while you're at it. You might even skip the 55-250, unless you want to keep that around for a lightweight solution.

Any 70-200L series, even the F4L, is a worthwhile investment. I've owned more than one model and they are the SHARPEST lenses I've ever used.

What about this:

Canon 10-18
Sigma 18-35
Canon 50
Canon 70-200

I would never ever shoot a wedding with your current camera and lenses.

Sounds like I could drop the 85 from the list and sub in the 70-200 F4. Sell the 18-55 and 55-20 making my line up as follows

Canon 10-18
Canon 15-85 EFS (already own)
Sigma 30 1.4 DC (already own)
Canon 70-200 F4
Canon 100mm 2.8 macro
Tamron 150-600

Just do what I do and buy a lens that intrigues you and evaluate it after two months see if you like it or now.

It doesn't help that my main hobby is gear acquisition.

I've been doing that a lot, except my brother's gear and money :p

it's not that bad of an idea. No better way to evaluate gear, than to own it for a while. The tamron 150-600 definitely rounded out my gear on paper, but in reality, it was too big for me to be practical. You live and learn.

find what works for you, through experience. There are only a few very sure things I've experienced in my last decade of shooting. 50mm, 135mm, 70-200F2.8. Love working with those lenses. Everything else, I cannot say for sure.

14mm, 24-105, 16-35, those are all tossups. I really dont know which way the wind blows with those. They all have pros and cons that I struggle with.

I didn't see where he mentioned his camera?

I dont plan on it. Thus part of the reason for the upgrade, I also plan on renting a lens or two to fill any gaps and provide overlap. Wedding is not for another year.
