I got really lucky to see these uncommon dragonflies, had just finished photographing a caterpillar and they flew together in tandem and landed very close to me. The only dragonflies left in my neck of the woods are the Common Darters and Migrant Hawkers so it's great to see other species doing so well. The fact that they are mating is particularly poignant bearing in mind that they will soon all be dead. Alex
