that might be too much tbh, too crowded. 12 would be good, nice and round bokeh balls, and stopped down, 12 point bursts are good, my favorite is probably 14 point.

You won't get a 12-point burst with nice, neat points - you'll get a 'star' with points that diverge in all directions rather than converge to a point.

If you want a 14-point star, you need a 7-blade aperture, like the 16-35L II (which produces some of the nicest sunstars I've seen in a lens).
