Also my processing is getting better to draw out more detail. Likely a change in saturation between the two also. Star density? It's a pretty dense part of the sky Certainly star filled and not black as people might assume the sky to be ![]() I know exactly what you mean . Take a look at this M8 image on APOD . Look how dense the stars are
