Spent 3 weeks in Africa in July. Just can't get it out of my head. Managed to spot 3 Leopards all up. 1 in Kenya and 2 in Tanzania

Nice shots, you managed to get pretty close to them!

Apparently there are more leopards than lions in the Serengeti.
We saw over 100 lions and 3 leopards. (One leopard we saw for about 3 seconds, the other in a tree so far away that you could only just make it out through binoculars, and the other was on a rock in good light, but still too far for decent photos with a 640mm equivalent lens)

Thanx
The first Leopard we seen was in the Mara North Conservancy. We'd been down into the Mara during the day for a river crossing and on the way back got a call over the 2 way about a Leopard on the opposite side of camp. It took us about 30 min to get there and it was nearly dark.
I'm still pretty green with this photography caper and I missed some terrific shots due to too slow a shutter speed.
The other two, sitting on the rocks, were in the Northern Serengeti. Beautiful place but just WAY to many vehicles for my liking.

Thanx Sanjeev.
We seen about 30 Lions in the Serengeti and about the same in the Mara.
I can understand what your saying about the distance. The problem with the Serengeti is the guides aren't supposed to go off road (but that depends on the guide) whereas in the Mara North off road driving is permitted. The Leopard in the grass was only 3-4 mts away and the others were between 30-50 mts

Good shooting!
Those animals are constantly on the move so you have been either very good or seriously lucky to get the focus on the spot with no movement blur. In march 2015 I will try to get to a park in ZA or Namibia.
