Swede71-Swede74 went out to conduct a photoshoot over MCAS Beaufort, SC on Oct 1, 2014.

The two Lightnings are from VMFAT-501, the fleet replacement squadron here in Beaufort.

I was shooting from Swede73, a Bengal jet, because I'm a Bengal. Enjoy!

Great pictures full credit to the photographer but, I'm sorry but i think the F35 just looks rubbish, cheap in design - not in money, and it just looks crap, i think its the worst move and plane created, if they want a fantastic fighter/bomber stick with the super hornet, if they want a vectored thrust - stick with the best, the only Harrier.

Me too! My job as a analyst at a pharma company rarely (okay, never) gives me the opportunity to see things like that!

Great shots :)

Thanks, all.

I've gotten to be mildly familiar with this new aircraft recently. It's not meant to be a bomber, and as far as fighters go, it appears to be far more capable. It's been expensive, but it's far from being the worst thing created.
