1d cameras are great. No real tips, the hold 2 button inputs take a while to get used to but are very good once you do. Tip- get off the net and use it. Enjoy

That ended with the 1D3, if not completely, at least a major improvement over the previous 1D models... :)

The 1D3 doesn't have the 2 button inputs of the earlier bodies.......I think....currently imagining mine is in front of me!

Do yourself a favour and buy a spider holster.

I use to lug that thing for 8+ hours for 3 consecutive day event with a 70-200 f/2.8is. No sweat :)

Set your aperture min and max to F2.8 (for your 24-70)
Select program shift for ISO
Select Tv mode and pick your required shutter speed

Enjoy Auto ISO use! ;)

Thanks for the information, it would appear that it's not 2 button controls (that i have noticed anyway)
I have a Blackrapid Sport that i use so that should help with the weight and i presume that the settings Wakarimasen is recommending is in the custom functions?
