Ricardo, that's an impressive model, especially with the material/research background you described.

These are my thoughts as well. That's a beautiful model, Ricardo.

Well done Levina. I am in awe of your language skills...and your photography! Your still, and not so still, lifes are right up there with your bird photographs!

I have to agree with Ricardo here. Both those pictures are beautifully done. :D

So many nice images this week!

My image ... "D" is for "Drooping."

Beautiful "Drooping", Barbara. :D

I have to agree with Ricardo and Stina about Levina's and Barbara's contributions and with Levina and Stina about Ricardo's model and his shot of it. These photos make me feel so unskilled by comparison. :(

Thanks Eddie. Wonderful what any of us can do when we have time and motivation on our side. I understand that for some people the Antarctic winter is a long drag, but for the eleven of us who shared that winter there was plenty going on and a good atmosphere. But then, we had a really good leader, and that is so important.

Don't ever think that Oh...with both camera and words you demonstrate plenty of skills and I always look forward to your contributions!

Are you kidding? Your photographs are often very original and you have a good eye for shapes "in the wild" where I would not see them. No, "unskilled" is the last thing I would call you, OhLook.

Thanks (and you too, Ricardo), but you do things with motion that seem so expert, like animating the sewing machine and freezing the dice as they fall out of the can. I look at those and think I could never get shots like that in ten years of trying.

Well, I have to start somewhere, so today, instead of finding a D-subject, I created one.

Those are really lovely, OhLook! The third one really grabs me with the crop, lines and shadows but I really like them all. :)

^^^There you go! What did I tell you?! They're great, Oh, all the more so because of the beautiful tones of grey and the crisp feel to the images.

Thanks, Tim and Ricardo.

Funny story. The faucet is on the back of our house. Husband looked at the three photos and said "I'll have to put a new washer in that." I had to tell him the faucet doesn't drip when it's turned off. He walked away saying "Mr. Fixit in action."

Ricardo, Levina, EastBayGirl and OhLook --Thanks for the kind words.

OhLook -- I like your second drip the best. How did you get the timing right? Continuous shooting mode (aka, I think, burst mode)?
