The place I used to go to (Norfolk Botanical Garden) to photograph wildlife had hours of operation that limited the time I liked to shoot. I'm mainly a morning and evening type of photographer who likes that type of lighting conditions.
Because the eagles I used to photograph have moved to private property to nest my motivation to go to Norfolk Botanical Garden has dwindled so I'm now going elsewhere without hours of operation.
I stayed until sunset photographing a Red-tailed Hawk last night and thankfully it was active hunting and resting on natural perches (for the most part).
1. Surveying a field it likes to hunt.
2. Dinner is served...
3. Off to higher ground to eat.
4.
5. After eating it flew to a Pine tree as the sun was setting.
6. Just looking around ignoring our presence.
