Found old Vivitar 252 flash in closet. Will this work on 350D? Sorry if this is a silly question. Antique roadshow material ?

Canon 40D, 5D MK II
Speedlites 430EX & 580EX II
Canon 70-200 f/2.8L (Non IS), Canon Extender EF 1.4 X II,
Canon 400 f/5.6 L, Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro,
Canon 24-70 f/2.8L

In manual mode. IIRC, that may be an auto-thyristor one, which has its own sensor to cut off the flash when it's reached the proper exposure. So you'd set shutter and aperture on the camera.

The 350D can handle virtually all trigger voltage levels, so a Safe Sync isn't needed, although earlier Canon digital SLRs did need this.
