Canada Geese @ Baskett Slough

It was 20 degrees this morning...and I decided to go back to the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. I got there just at sunrise and took this a few minutes later.

I used AV mode ISO 400 f5.6 at 1/2000 sec. I used my Tamron 28-75.

Please give me your feedback. I'm trying to learn and improve my technique.

It'd be nice if there wasn't that large clump of trees on the left side of the shot... it kind of makes the geese disappear. if you really want to shoot geese you should come to manitoba in the fall, we literally have thousands upon thosands. Farmers feilds disappear into these moving black a grey blobs, its pretty neat.

Just for the record, where do you think those geese in Manitoba go in the winter? They come here to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. This is their prime wintering spot. The fields around here are similar to what you described. The sound at Baskett Slough is literally deafening with all the honking.
