Aerial tree trimmer

I’d never heard of an aerial tree trimmer before this afternoon. Wow. Talk about the ultimate chainsaw.
Seeing it airborne brought a shudder and déjà vu of STABO extractions we did in the military where it was you at the end of a rope. On a scale of 1-10, that had a pucker factor of 11.

For the first one, slowing the shutter speed would've allowed for proper exposure and blurred blades.
It appears to be under-exposed by at least a full stop and the blades look to be frozen, which leaves me wondering how the helicopter is still floating in the air.

This was one of those “Hey, look up there!” and pull over to the side of the road kind of shots. I didn’t even look at my settings.
Next time I will hopefully put your advice into practice!

I didn't know those things were actually real - saw one in a James Bond movie and thought they had just made it up. Thats one hell of a chainsaw!

I looked up some vids after seeing these photos. In the video I found the helicopter was getting knocked around a lot as the saw snagged and cut - some seriously skillful stuff.
