I assume you have a tracking mount to be able to do 5 seconds? That is a nice shot.

WHOA Peter ! Just got your perfect shot ! Excellent timing , no burnouts , very good focus and got it at totality with stars, that's a big plus ! I see no noise , did you use low ISO or shoot this through your scope ? I'm guessing your scope ;) . Great shot ! BTW that would make a nice wall hanger .

the more I look at this shot even though I took it I wonder how I managed such a sharp contrast.
this moon just stands out from the bg like no moon shot I've taken before

Nice shot Desertraptor. I was all excited to try my new gear & iOptron out.

Virtually cloudless all day here in Gerringong, until about 16:00 when the clouds rolled in... right down to the horizon

Stayed 10/10th's right up until... you guessed it.. around 00:45.. when the moon peeped through

To rub salt into the wounds, the next night the moon shone brightly from moonrise to moonset :(
