I had over a year a debate with my own mind whether i should spend 500$ on a tripod.

Now i just ordered the Feisol ct-3442 rapid with a Siriu k-30x ballhead and a Siriu L-Bracket for my 6D.

Paid about 600$ for everything, especially since the ballhead and the L-bracket are not very known here so the shops who have them are rather expensive.

However im very excited to another chapter in my Photography path :-D

Kind of hard to swallow but worth it in the long run. I just spent 300 for a mono pod, but I beed it to hold $15K in camera and lens. My Sirui mono pod fell apart under the load.

I have heard good things about that ball head.

Yeah, but at most i will use a 6D with a 70-300L, and that even worked with my 80$ tripod which is horrible btw. Its just the fiddling which i want to get rid of..

Yeah and the Legs with the ballhead are about 3.3lbs, very compact and light, which is exactly what i need while travelling!

Awesome setup... congrats.

Obviously you have more common sense than this gal. I swear... she left this whole thing unattended while talking on the phone a few steps away on the beach where she laid her belongings.

Yes... a bunch of us was waiting... waiting... believe it or not, after several waves, it remained upright. Kinda mean but, I thought I was going to capture some major 'FAIL' moments. oh well.

Ohh what i wanted to add is, that i ordered the feisol legs on their official website since they ship from germany to switzerland. So i saw it was about 320€ plus 17€ shipping. I was like well doesnt matter now im gonna buy this anyway! Proceeded to checkout and the sum was 288€ including shipping. I was confused and checked if i have changed the product by mistake but it wasn't. However im not complaining about it at all haha

Maybe useful for interested ones!

Hi there. I have the Fiesol 3442 and it truly is a great tripod. I love that I can extend to eye level without the need for a center column - makes the setup very sturdy. Very well made and lovely to use.

Make sure you get the rapid version of the tripod if you have the funds. The anti-rotation leg locks make the tripod quick and easy to setup and take down.
