Just got off the phone with Adorama and they have the 7D2 kit ready to roll if interested. I just don't know what to do with the lens.

Yeah, at most you would net in your pocket would be $300, putting the body at $1850. Might as well just get the body?

Wow that is awesome it worked out cheaper. I know my local camera store is usually higher than the Canon suggested retail price so I didn't even bother with them.

Same here, which it sad because I try to support local business in all my hobbies.

Bad news from BB, I ordered 9/15 as soon as it went online and was told my 7D II kit was on back-order. So I cancelled and hopefully will be able to pick-up local today.

Still nothing showing for my pre-order, yet. When was your order date? I assume they are filling the orders by the date you ordered. Mine was Sept. 26.

I, also, ordered a battery and a grip. I hope they wouldn't hold the camera body if the grip and battery aren't in yet??????

Patiently waiting and trying to hold back my excitement,
Doc

When charges show up can be different for each credit card and when they charge it - i.e. if your card company updates their account information for charges on a 2 hour batch job cycle or something like that.

Helen said Adorama has enough to fill all orders -- so, it takes time, and they probably ship according to order date. Me = 9/17 also ....

I'm getting mad at myself for getting obsessed over a luxury item.

I am kinda hoping I do end up making the cut and getting the kit though - I had the non-STM 18-135 and some days I do miss it for casual outdoor use or walk around situations where the zoom range would be useful and switching lenses isn't easy.
