My first shot 7Dii. Impressions=nickname should be tommy-gun :)

Good nickname! I actually like the sound of the shutter more than any other body I've used.

Hope that doesn't mean you like loud guns...

Is it relatively quiet?

Both Best Buy's and the local camera shop have them in stock where I live. Trying to resist.

I'm going to buy mine from Amazon when their next shipment arrives and when the battery grip is available.

My $2 order was canceled but it was fun while it lasted. ;)

Yes, pretty quiet, when you hit the 10fps, it sounds like shuffling cards ..

Does anyone know the BB return policy on bodies/bodies with lenses? I know I have purchased at BB before and there is a big 15% restocking fee sticker.

I ask because tomorrow, Nov 1 starts their holiday return policy meaning you have until 1/15/15 to return most items. Would be nice for price protection in case it goes on sale before then.

Thanks for the update.

I have not had a grip on a camera since my 350D. I got a 3rd party for the 40D a year or so ago but never liked the feel of the camera with it. I ordered a spare battery from Amazon (back ordered) for $82.45.

Thanks. That was direct from amazon and included tax.

Total before tax: $76.34
Estimated tax to be collected: $6.11
-----
Grand Total: $82.45

I guess a couple of dollars more at amazon.

All the major shops in Dublin (Ireland) have them in stock and available beyond pre-orders. I'll be out of the country next week, but picking mine up next weekend on my return. Upgrading from 7D and really looking forward to it.

I have delusions of adequacy!
