^patrol I shot with the 70D today and was thinking about the 7Dii. For arguments sake let's say it is the same sensor as the 70D that will be in the new 7Dii..I'd hasten anybody curious as to the noise performance issue to peruse the 70D forum for 'high' ISO pics/discussions-those in the1600-3200 range, considering that and my hedge that it is highly likely the same even if modified sensor as the 70D, well the noise issue will be moot (for a crop body of course).
I've never 'tested' any camera HA! But for fun I do plan on putting them side by side, same room, same lighting, blah blah blah and having a see for myself.
Noise is one thing right, but banding is another. There is no way Canon would release the mk ii without having seriously addressed that issue.
I'm excited for a bigger reason....once it gets here (the 7Dii) and works then I will ditch a 5Diii that just sits and gathers dust (less than 2000 clicks and less than a year old)....I actually prefer the 70d if I'm going for birds (and def. for macro with the tilt/swivel screen); and if I'm going landscape I'm all over the A7s....and the proceeds when I sell the 5Diii will go toward paying the better-half back for the 400 DO ii
Well that's my current plan.
Oh forgot here is one of Pauls photos at 6400:
