Hi all,

I was browsing around the HP web site, trying (unsuccessfully) to find some colour management information and profiles for my Color LaserJet 3800dtn.

One thing I came across was http://h30187.www3.hp.com …verview.jsp?courseId=4589 (external link) - a free online beginners course on Photoshop CS2. I suspect it's way too basic for almost everyone here, and it isn't geared to photographers anyway, but I thought I'd mention it for what it's worth.

Hey, just went to Staples and they do have PhotoShop Elements 4.0 upgrade for $39.99 with the $30.00 instant rebate and $20 mail in rebate. I paid only $59.99 for mine to be delivered to my door. I think that's a good price.

Thanks David. My dad has been taking some courses on some web stuff but Ii never thought they might have stuff like this. Actually after looking at the courses offered they have a good variety. I signed up to see how it goes, I am new to CS2, but so far it does seem a little trivial. But, I might learn something.

Well, if it's helped two people, it was certainly worth posting.

Please don't think I was being disparaging when I said "I suspect it's way too basic for almost everyone here". Rightly or wrongly, I feel that most people in this forum have more solid Photoshop skills than I do, but I'm a bit beyond the basics myself, in part due to previous experience with Corel Photo-Paint, and in part due to hanging around here and following many of the suggestions and tutorials people have mentioned. I was simply acknowledging that those who were beyond fairly basic techniques probably wouldn't get much from it - but there is always more to learn!

It's great if my failure to find what I was looking for turns into something worthwhile for others. Be aware that this course is only left open for a limited time window - it's available now, but closes some time in March.
