I was watching (or hoping to watch) The Walking Dead being filmed, got bored, and went home (because I didn't feel like waiting). So I took photos of other stuff instead, such as the crew setting up. This photo is definitely not out of camera. I ran it through a few programs. The white dots are moths.

It was actually a beautiful evening with a nice sunset.

This is the town of Senoia, where they also had the fictional town Woodbury. Season five will film in the set you see in the photo. I don't want to say too much about it, but it should be a great season (starts again tomorrow).

The show runs October through about March, but is filmed from May through late November. They always finish filming the week before Thanksgiving. I live about ten miles from where they film, and all these years I've never bumped into any of the actors, even though they are always around. I see others post on Facebook about encounters at local restaurants, etc., but I haven't seen them. They are very stealth as they come and go. The only places I've seen them is conventions.

A couple more (basically the same setup--a dude getting the lights ready for filming).

I should have used a tripod so that I could have lowered the ISO. All were handheld, so I had to work on noise. But I kind of like them soft anyway. Notice all the bugs around the spotlights. I think it looks cool.
