Friggin AMAZING !!
Because I'm an amateur and shoot only jpg, I only have about 56GB of photos ... plus about 12GB of music, plus about 1GB of personal data. As part of my backup program, I have a 128GB usb key to which I irregularly copy everything (my regular backups are to 2 external HD's).
I tried plugging that 128GB usb key into this adapter, and suddenly I have my entire laptop data viewable on my phone !!
That is so cool !! The phone file viewer handles everything just like my windows browser.
This opens a lot of possibilities besides just photo viewing.
EDIT: I tried plugging my 500GB Seagate HD, but all I got was flashing light on the HD - no recognition of the drive. It might have been trying to go through the whole drive before recognizing it.
EDIT 2: OK, on further study, this tech is about 1 year old ... I guess I should go back to reading online NerdNotes to keep up with what's going on. Oh well - I finally got it !
Hard drive probably needs more power than your Android/OTG cable can supply.
