I use Photo Mechanic to add and edit several EXIF and IPTC fields in my images. However, some fields are not editable in Photo Mechanic. What is the best free EXIF and IPTC data editor that anyone has discovered that can edit ALL of the EXIF and IPTC fields in an image? An example of a field that cannot be edited by Photo Mechanic is the "focusing distance" field.

I'm just curious what people here have used and found to be the best. I can do a Google search and I've found a few hits, but they weren't very good.

EXIFTool looks like the most robust, but I was hoping to find a GUI. If there isn't a GUI that has every option of EXIFTool then I'll just figure out the command line.

Well, there is ExifTool GUI for Windows...its no longer maintained but it still works perfectly with the current version of ExifTool
