Alright, have at this folks. What do you think? I know the leaves are very windblown, but that was my trade-off for getting silky water.

It's okay. The colors seem muted though and I'd like to see them brighter.

Thank you for your opinion. I think by brighter you mean "more saturated"? I do not perform color enrichment or desaturation on my photos. Just a Curves adjustment to tweak the shadows, highlights, and mids.

Do you shoot in RAW?

Overall it just has a predominantly brown color.

Yep it is an Olympus RAW. The water color is true to life (brown). There are no color casts.

So if you are shooting in RAW and don't adjust color, contrast, sharpness, etc. you are not necessarily getting the color and such that you should. If you want muted colors then that's fine, but the photo could be better.

There is a Curves adjustment layer and a High Pass sharpening layered performed. I am a photography/post processing instructor and displaying artist.

Dave,
Nice composition, cool photo.
It could be my brain, but the photo seems to 'lean' to the right. It might be improved with a small horizon adjustment. this perception might also be caused by the trees growing toward the sun (right), etc. Just an idea to tinker with.

Thank you Tom - I do struggle with finding the perfect level of the horizon for shots like these. I think you are correct that the trees are leaning, but that may throw a viewer's eye off.
