I was browsing around the interwebz and came a cross a used Zeiss 50mm 1.7 with pretty good price tag ( I think) but then I saw a canon 50 1.4 almost the same price so I figured I'd ask the experts around here for their opinions.
I did a quick search and seems like Zeiss have a slight blue hue but I dunno.

If you're OK with manual focus, I'd say get the Zeiss (if it's in good shape, it's 30+ years old at this point), it's a classic and coveted lens.
