The red deer rut has been on my radar for a while and I finally committed to giving it a go, and have spent the last two weekends in Richmond Park then Bushy Park in London.

I didn't enjoy the two 5am starts, but Richmond Park delivered. The slight overcast on Saturday gave a lovely diffuse light, then Sunday exploded in to golden fog (and brought out a large swarm of fellow photographers). Bushy Park gave me one nice sunset on the following Sat, and then a downpour on Sunday

Great series of images Paul. Nice and sharp and good clean backgrounds.
The early starts obviously paid off. Well done.
Stuart.

I wonder if it's his blood or someone elses.
