Has anyone had any experience with either or both of these? Is there really any difference(besides a $3 cheaper replacement lens for the PAF)?

It would be very simple to duplicate, which I'm guessing is what they did. I'd still go with the better beamer because I'm a member at nature scapes and I know the people running the store are nature photogs who will stand behind the product. I'm taking pictures of everything, so go ahead and take this place away from me.
