Hey, guys. I just finished my review on the F-Stop Loka, you can check it out on my blog on the link below.

F-Stop Loka Review (external link)

Here's a quick little summary and some images to wet your lips..

Things I love:

  • Most comfortable camera bag I’ve used/owned.
  • Highly configurable/customisable to specific needs.
  • Build quality is second to none.
  • Countless combinations of ICU configurations.
  • Easy access to camera gear.
  • Carries a tripod, natively, in a multitude of ways.
  • Perfectly fits in carry-on luggage compartments.

Things I don’t love:

  • The thin handle strap, it’s a little uncomfortable. A rubberised grip might improve this.
  • The ICU’s are a little fiddly to fix into the bag. But once it’s in place, it’s nice and snug!
  • The mesh pockets on either side of the bag are too small for any decent sized drink bottle.

Great review, but I have 1 question, what sort of monstrous water bottle are you packing?

Thanks for the review. Just a note that CameraPro stock the f-stop bags, you may want to note that in your review (you said you weren't aware of Australian stockists).

Cheers, Damien

Great review, but I have 1 question, what sort of monstrous water bottle are you packing?

Usually just a 1 litre bottle, it's an extremely tight fit and if I turn too fast it falls out. But if that's the worst thing about this bag, then props to F-Stop haha.

Thanks for that, mate! I've just updated it with one other Australian stockist that I found.

Maybe it will loosen up over time; my Guru can fit a 1.13L hydroflask bottle quite easily.

The Loka is an excellent bag.

In the review, you mention maybe fitting the 100-400. I have a large pro ICU and the 100-400 fits easily.

The thing I like about this layout is I can fit 4 lenses without having to swap lenses... any lens will fit in the camera section. I leave the hood were it is when I'm not using the 100-400. This is a waste of space, but it works for my gear.

I purchased one used a while back and it included a sm., med. and lg. ICU. I have the large installed and use the medium and small in a cabinet to hold other gear.

I have the 100-400, as well, and as Sawsedge pointed out it fits fine. I actually keep all my lens hoods stored within each other, assuming they fit, and in the top zipper compartment above the ICU. This allows for more storage in the ICU for other equipment.

I absolutely love this bag.

Is there an ICU larger than the large? I'm interested in the bag, but from what I can see it doesn't take long lenses too well.

The next and only size up from Large Pro is the XL Pro (external link).

The XL Pro ICU does fit in the Loka according to F-stop. You can't see the very top, but if you use it for long lenses, that isn't a problem. I've seen photos of a 600 f/4 sitting in the XL, with a body on the side (detached).

Wow, John. A 600 f4? That's crazy! Can't see myself ever having one of those, though ;)

I have a 600 f4 II. I'd love to see those pics you're speaking of.

I have the smaller F-Stop backpack with medium slope ICU. It is a great backpack. For hiking, probably the best backpack there is. But for camera storage, it's a bit small, as the one here pictured appears.

I'd be very surprised if any of their inserts can fit a 600. But again, I'd love to see that.
