While camping in eastern AZ the last few days I heard some bandits outside my pop up the first night. So the next night I ambushed them. My wife sat in the truck with the headlights pointed at the trees and I laid on the ground about 15 ft from the trees (stupid I know).
But I managed a few cool shots of an animal I have never photographed before.
Oh and these are not cropped. I was that close. Frame filling action. LOL

Great shots Jeremy, geez, you worked for them! You know, although they usually scamper away when confronted, they can get very vicious too, so be careful. Ever hear a coon fight out in the middle of the night? It's a scary sound!

Nice Jeremy; glad they cooperated. They certainly don't look at all concerned by your presence.

Thanks Ian and I was a bit concerned they may attack. I heard them fighting nearby and it was BAD!!

Thanks Jeff, I know you're crazy too! I would probably do it with bears but not mountain lion. That's where I draw the line.

Thanks Eric. They were not at all phased by me. They just went about their business and I scared them back into the trees after a few minutes when I got up.
