Eagle creek walk

A few shots from a walk last weekend on the Eagle creek trail. I always have trouble getting shots I like on these deeply forested hikes so critique is very welcome.

How far up the trail did you hike? Had the pleasure of hiking it this summer up to Tunnel Falls, really beautiful and raw area! Do you use a polarizer for your shots?

Hi John,

I didn't hike all the way to tunnel falls, I'll have to try to get there next time. I think we went about 4 miles in before turning around. I did use a polarizer for the creek shots aligned to minimize reflections off the rocks and water. I believe I used it on the fern/trees shot as well but I'm not 100% sure.


CORRECTION: You are talking about a different Eagle Creek hike. These shots are not from the Eagle creek in the Columbia River Gorge, rather the tributary of the Clackamas River, near Estacada.
