1Ds MK II Shutter Replacement..??

I'm looking at buying a 1Ds II but it appears that the shutter is failing as it has the white streak across images.On e-bay it seems that there are Canon shutters and aftermarket shutters.Is this true and does anyone have experience with the aftermarket shutters?

not sure what you're meaning - can you link to one of the "aftermarket" ones?

I've replaced the shutter in my 1D MK II so I know how difficult it is, I don't think doing that amount of work with a potentially suspect part would be a good idea...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
