This was the first wedding I've ever done as the primary photographer. The bride and groom are some friends that I work with, and were insistent that I shoot their wedding, after I had taken their engagement photos (which was also the first time I had done that as well). It was definitely a stressful day (because of some major time crunches to get the pictures done, lighting, and the weather), but in the end, everyone had fun, and they enjoyed the work I was able to give them, so I guess that's all that matters.:)

My wife was the second shooter, and it was great. She has no real photography experience, and the experience she does have, is just from watching me take and edit pictures for the last few years.

I had VERY little experience with off camera flash work before that night as well, and had never done any at an actual venue, so that was adding a HUGE amount of stress for me. I made all of this very clear to Zach and Amanda right from the start, but again, they were insistent on me being the one for the job.

Here is a link to more of the end result, if you would like to see them. C&C is always welcome as well. Thanks for looking.

Based on what you posted here and Flicker, IMO you and your Wife did an awesome job as 1st wedding!!!

1. Good shot
2. Not bad - Looks like focus is on the lip not the eye where the action is happening
3. I would crop in more (from the bottom) to eliminate the 2 spaces on the side of the box where they stand
4. Looks like it is a tough under expose. Needs better facial expression or interaction with each other.
5 & 6. Great moments capture. Also looks like a bit under expose.
7. Good shot - Any shots of the B&G partying beside the Guests?

I don't know much. Above are just my personal opinions. Again, great works. Keep going at it!

Thanks, I appreciate it. :)

In #2, I actually was focused on the eye, but I think because there isn't as much contrast on her eye lid as there is on the lips, maybe that's why it appears that way.

#3 was tough because of the distracting flags on the wall behind them. The only reason I didn't crop more was because I didn't want to cut out any of the candles, and I was already cutting the top pretty close. I definitely see what you're saying though.

I left #4 a little underexposed to try to make it a little more of a dramatic image. The same goes for the expression.

I did get some more shots of the B&G partying, but the majority of the time, they were partying with
everyone else and not necessarily dancing with each other.

Again, thank you for the compliment and your thoughts on the images.
