Here's another shot I wasn't sure which category to put in. It's not a true macro shot, so I thought it would fit best in "Nature".

I hope you like it. Your comments & CC are always welcome. :D

Very simple, but the colors and detail really make it sing. Awesome shot, and good job with the DOF as well!

That is one funky looking schroom! Love the DOF and sharpness in the foreground of this picture. Nice shot, Joel!

Thanks Becca. I've seen funkier shrooms than this way back in the 70's. But that story is for another forum all together.

Thanks cfcRebel. This little schroom was only about two inches high. It just goes to show, some of nature's magnificent beauty can be humbly growing in the dirt just beneath our feet. All we have to do is look for it. :D

If this is not nature then I don't know what is. I can practically smell the earthly scent.

Beautiful colors and textures beautifully captured :)

Thanks for your comments Bea. I could definitely "smell the earthly scent" since my nose was about 2 inches off the ground to take this picture.

Joel,
You are so very right, nature and her beauty is all around us. All we need to do is learn how to see it.

By the way, very good work.
