My real humble pinhole paper to fedex pkg image, taken with iPhone 5s.
Yea, kinda hard to hold 2 pieces of paper apart then take a picture of the image with your 3rd hand....
Still I had the fedex counter people outside with me .... they had no clue it was happening, taken approx 5:52pm EDT Novi Michigan
So this was my astronomy outreach good deed for the day

I managed to get a couple shots this evening. I had to grab a mylar filter for a large refractor to hold in front of my 400mm. I used a 1.4x TC for some shots as well.

Being down south I didn't see much of it eclipsed, but this was the maximum (before clouds rolled in). I also played with WB to make it more the color I saw in person.

I didn't get off work until 6:00 CDT, so I had to hurry. I've had good results in the past just by holding a #14 welding lens in front of the camera lens, but tonight it had a ton of glare. Here's the best I got, without any filters. Then as it was going behind some trees. I'm not happy with either one, but sometimes you just gotta take what you get.

Y'all got some excellent shots. I really like the flock of birds, and the one with just a trace of thin clouds.
