hi guys,

have not posted in a awhile so wanted to share a find with you. managed to chance upon a male and female pair of the common flameback. first time I have seen one, let alone both of them!

a pity the branches were in the way :(

Excellent find and images Gene!
They look a lot like the Pileated we have here except for the obvious difference on the back which gave them their name. Fantastic that you got both in one frame as that's no mean feat, and branches are as much a part of the game as the birds themselves. Well done!
