As the only Mimid that comes and goes with the seasons, the Gray Catbird is always a welcome Spring addition. Although with me all summer they remained very aloof and the images below were all captured during the Spring.

1. First image after arrival and looking a bit disheveled.

IMAGE: http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp154/vroompuppy/Avian%20Friends/More%20Avians/2M5A0543a_1024x700_zps996671d3.jpg

2. The pair plotting the demise of some grapes. If I had to guess I'd say the bird in the foreground is the male. :)

3. The glamour shot.

4. And a couple of "portraits" leftover from last Spring.

Beautiful bird with a beautiful voice and a pleasure to have around. I hope all have enjoyed these well-dressed birds and feel free to leave your comments and critiques as you see fit. Thanks so much for stopping in!

Beautifully done, Steve. A drab yet pretty bird all in one. They spend their summers here I think, I see them from time to time.

Well done indeed.

Appreciate that very much Bret as you certainly know the antics of these birds too. The "glamour" shot is obviously my favorite too.

You're very kind as always Ian. I'll give you that mostly gray can look a little drab, but they do seem to have a sheen about them.

Thanks a bunch Al! They are sometimes hard to isolate from their environs.

Haha Bob, funny how those grapes just sprout at the ends of those branches isn't it :)
I appreciate your kindness and humor.

Nothing like Spring green backgrounds Brad, and I understand how these can achieve nemesis status. Thanks so much for stopping by.
